The Process

After completing an investigation to validate the hypothesis for the application I set the design team to defining the application roadmap.

The goal of this process was to understand what this app could one day become and what it needs to be to be successful on day one. This day one version, the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) involved interviewing potential users and gathering data about what their current 'pain points' were. During this process, we whiteboarded all of the things that we wanted this application to do. We ranked these items by priority.

Considering what the applications core functionality would be, what is needed to gain users, and what can be added later. I set about defining the features that I thought users might want, and what features might be great candidates for later versions. As you gain users with your MVP, you can solicit feedback on what additional features are desired.
